There is a deep divide between urban and rural populations; Western Heritage Day seeks to educate students about agriculture through interactive 'stations' like Cowboys and the West, Farming in the US, Animals and Agriculture, Colorado History, and more in order to both enrich their lives and help them understand eachother. These stations are led by industry experts like CSU professors, ranchers, musuem staff, and more. Through hands on learning students are encouraged to learn more about their food, their heritage, and the rural way of life.
